Investment Implementation

SKM Wealth uses both internal and external research to develop our asset allocation models. We use two approaches to investment implementation based on your net worth, investing sophistication and tax considerations: mutual funds and separately managed accounts.

For many of our clients, mutual funds are an excellent vehicle for efficiently investing within our predetermined asset allocations. We help our clients select funds using analytical screens that weigh many factors, including historical performance, adherence to stated investment objective, management status and tenure, portfolio size and internal fund expenses.

More and more, investors are utilizing index and ETF funds to implement their asset allocation strategies. Whenever appropriate, based on a client’s specific circumstances, SKM Wealth will make use of index products within our portfolios.

For certain clients, we will consider using separately managed accounts which utilize individual securities (i.e. stocks and bonds). These accounts are generally used for our high-net-worth clients where the emphasis is on tax efficiency.
